What is the course content?
Our Private Security Training Program offers a comprehensive curriculum with the skills necessary for success in the private security industry. The program is divided into three sections:
SECTION I: Introduction to the Private Security Industry (27 Hours)
- Survey of the Private Security Industry
- Roles and Responsibilities of a Security Agent
- Legal Aspects and Standards of Behavior
- Security Procedures and Equipment
- Patrol and Alarm Response
- Communication Skills & Customer Service
SECTION II: Emergency Procedures (27 Hours)
- Fire and Alarm Activation Protocols
- Break-ins and Theft Prevention
- Power Failures and Floods
- Bomb Threats & Major Incidents
- Organizational Health and Safety (WHMIS)
- Conflict Resolution & Self-Defense
What is the schedule of the course?
- The theory course duration is 54 hours in class and 16 hours for First Aid CPR.
- For day classes: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM for 8 days.
- For weekend courses: Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM - 5 PM for 4 weeks.
- For evening courses: Monday to Thursday, 6 PM - 10 PM for 3 weeks.
- First Aid CPR: 2 days, 9 AM - 5 PM (in-person, either weekday or weekend).
When can I get my certificate?
Once all classes are attended, quizzes are passed, and the final exam is successfully completed, students will receive their certificate for both First Aid CPR and the course itself

If you're unable to attend a class session, please communicate with your instructor to arrange an alternative time. Remember, completing the full 80-hour training is necessary to obtain both the certificate and the BSP license.

Can I take the training program online?
No, we currently do not offer the training program online. However, we provide flexible weekend classes to accommodate students who may have weekday commitments. This allows you to complete the required training without interfering with your regular schedule.
How do I apply for the BSP security guard license after completing the course?
After completing the training and obtaining the required certifications, you can apply for the BSP security guard license through the Bureau de la sécurité privée. We provide guidance and support throughout this application process.
Is first aid and CPR training included in the program?
Yes, our comprehensive 80-hour course includes first aid and CPR training, fulfilling the CNESST 16-hour first aid certification requirement.
